~[[THIS THREAD IS DEAD]]~

When Saphira scurried back into her shared bedroom, it took all her strength to stop her from giggling like a giddy schoolgirl. She had been cooking all day, and now it was dusk, so everybody was returning to their quarters to change into something nicer. Amber was sitting on her own bed, trying to fix her bowtie, to no avail.
"Hey sis, could you give me a hand? I was never good at tying this thing..."
Saphira laughed slightly, then came over and tied the bow perfectly.
"How in the world do you do that?"
"Magic." She replied in good humor. "By the way, you really should fix your hair. It looks like Ryo tried to braid your hair or something."
Amber blushed slightly at the mention of her hair, but went to find the brush in their bathroom.
Meanwhile, Saphira changed out of her flour-covered work clothes and got into her gown. This had been the dress she wore on her first date with Wolfe. It was pale blue at the top, with a short gradient into a deep blue near the high waist of the dress. It was covered in tiny magic beads that glowed slightly, like starlight. The skirt of the dress flowed down in layers, getting longer as they went down.
She quietly slipped on her shoes and long gloves, before calling over Amber to give her the brush.
"Sure, just one sec, I've gotten myself in a bit of trouble..." Amber laughed embarrassedly, her fingers were tangled in the ribbon she tried to tie her hair back with.
"I'll give you a hand," she sighed in reply. She came into the bathroom, where Amber was struggling with her hair. She quietly untangled her twin's fingers from the ribbon, then re tied it into a low ponytail.
"Now can I have the brush?" Saphira asked.
"Oh, right! Here you go!"

Alazne hummed a tune from her childhood as she finished doing her hair. She took a chunk of hair in front of her hair and braided it, then made the rest into a messy bun.
She was wearing a lavender bubble dress and knee high gladiator sandals. She had some jewelry on her right hand, but her left hand and arm was left bare so Kiikou could stay there for the night.
She had even made something for Kiikou. She had one of the metal mages make her a tiny jeweled collar that wrapped around her neck gently.
"I must say, you look nice, Ala." Kiikou's voice was surprisingly happy and kind, that probably had to do with the fact that Alazne gave her something to wear.
"Thanks. You too, Kii. We ready to go?"
"Indeed we are."

Minnie struggled to get her hair to behave. It stuck up this way and that, like a porcupine defending itself, defending itself from the headband she was trying to put in it. It was a thin white band with a big fluffy bow on top.
She wouldn't have had this problem if she had worn a tux like Amber instead of a dress (at Py's incessant urging). But she decided to change it up, wearing a white dress with a bright blue ribbon on the waist, tying into a bow in the back. She wore white Mary-Janes with orange tights and matching satin gloves. She had to admit, it was fun getting dressed up all girly.
Minnie felt very, very pretty.
"It looks great!" Pyralis said, perched upon her shoulder. Even with her hair sticking every which way, the bow set off the rest of the outfit beautifully, and Minnie didn't mind anymore.
Putting a bit of sparkle powder on her wings to hide the scarring, she said, "I think I'm ready to go!"
"I think you'll be the talk of the ball, dear," Pyralis replied kindly.
Minnie adjusted her headband one last time and ran out the door.
This Christmas would be one to remember.
