Breaking some of these rules will result in an immediate ban, others with a warning then a ban. Immediate ban rules will be marked with an: (IB). Ones with a warning first will be marked with a: (W).
EDIT: (By Amber) I can see that there aren't many rules in comparison to other roleplays, so please don't make me regret this.
1. No being rude to actual people. It's one thing for a character to be rude to another in the RP, thats part of the RP but if you go trolling on my forum, I'll get pissed. (IB)
2. You are only allowed to speak as yourself. If you must, limit yourself to two lines of another person per post please. These lines also must be be written like this: Amber could have sworn that Liz had said something, but she couldn't hear all of it. Your character will be assuming or imagining. Also, if the owner of the other character asks you to change the post regarding playing as another character, you are required to change it. (W)
3. No complete badassing. No Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus. You know the deal, make yourself too strong and I will make you remove your character because I will personally kill it off. Do it again and I will ban you. Mary-Sues are extremely hard to describe; if I tell you to change your character, then you will do so. No friends with all animals, no complete badassing, no super-emo-brings-everyone-down shit. There are many more facets to the Mary-Sue disease, but if I tell you to change it, just know that it is for the best. As a suggestion but not a requirement, you can take a Mary-Sue litmus test to help figure out how Mary-Sueish your characters are. www.springhole.net/writing/marysue.htm(W)
4. Stay on topic and seperate your speech from your characters' like a-so: [[SuperAwesomeExampleBlahBlahBlah]] --- That is your speech. "Meep." --- That is your character's speech. Please do not fill up large posts with just talk, that's what personal messages are for. (W)
5. This one I cannot stress enough. ABSOLUTELY NO GOD MODDING. This goes along with rule two. (IB)
6. No flaming other people's characters by saying stuff like: [[Your character's so stupid.]] [[That's a dumb idea, you suck.]] etc. Like rule one, characters teasing characters is fine and can make for a good story. (W)
7. The character profile application must be filled in as shown by my example. Nothing else will be accepted. If you don't understand, feel free to ask me about it. (W)
8. While some creativity and leniency is allowed, you MAY NOT make up your own things like skills and battle roles. (W)
9. If your character has not been approved by me or another mod, you may not play. (IB)
10. Proper grammar is required. Proper spacing of paragraphs is also very important, but it is understood that some devices (iPhones, iPods, etc.) do not allow it. If you post on a device like that, please let me know and I will fix your posts. Also, NO WALLS OF TEXT. It is better if you have too many paragraph spaces than too little. Blocks of text are intimindating to certain Rp'ers and can cause them not to play. (W: Also, as Nogoodnms is a grammar nazi, he will probably harass you as well, besides myself.)
11: This is a casual style RP, so everybody knows. It is more like a collaborative story, so threads will go on for very long times as entire scenes are acted out, and double posting is allowed. You can post shorter length posts when you're doing dialogue, but try and keep action scenes to at least 100 words each. We need stuff to work with.
12: The only people that can add monsters to an RP are the admins and mods. You can request monsters or get special permission to add a monster to a specific RP thread.
13: You only can influence the plot of threads you create. The creator of each thread has an intention behind it and nobody has the right to change it. Don't railroad other people's threads. If you have an idea, make your own. (W)
